Supernatural Glasses

Have ever thought or even said, “I just don’t understand why people do what they do”? I know I have. There is so much evil in this world. It seems like everything is all about crime, sex, pride, and beating the next person to the punch, but what is really going on? Well, I had to wake up to understand this. You see, in my despair, I wondered time and time again, why bad things happened. I was focusing on my problems and not turning to God, which held me back from figuring out what was going on. I had to talk to God about this matter. I was just looking at things with my human eyes. To even understand things a little bit better I had to put on my supernatural glasses. From the beginning when we entered this world, we entered an evil world. Yeah, there is some good here, but evil does exist. Ephesians 6:12, let’s us know that our struggle is not against flesh and blood [contending only with physical oponents], but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces, of this [present] darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) places.

When we are going through something undesirable, we just might forget what we are really dealing with. You see, when you take a step back, and ask God for help, you just might be reminded that before a change comes, you will need to put on the whole armour of God. Somethings are just so messed up and misunderstood because of the forces behind the situation.

2 Timothy and 3 let’s us know that in the last days, people will love themselves. They will love money. They will talk about themselves and be proud. They will say wrong things about people. They will not obey their parents. They will not be thankful. They will not keep anything holy. They will not have any love. They will not agree with anybody. They will tell lies about people. They will have no self-control. They will beat people. They will not have love for anything that is good.

You see, the devil is a mess maker and people are not only being used by God, but by the devil. Can we fight this? I believe we can fight anything in prayer and also by not falling for the traps of the enemy. We have to stand our ground and not fight evil with evil, but evil with good. We must recognize what’s going on behind the scene and stand our ground. Yes, things might get hard and you might think that you can’t take what’s going on in your life, but hold on. Remember your life is worth fighting for. So, put your supernatural glasses on and ask God for wisdom in that situation. There is nothing too hard for God. We might go through something, but oh, that test will become our testimony.

God Bless and Keep Pressing On!!

God Can Only Be God

For God can only be God. “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are my ways your ways,” declares the Lord (Isiah 55:8). Humans will never be who God is. We can keep striving to be better than what we are, but the fact still remains, there is only one God. We do our best to be loving like our God, but that doesn’t mean that we won’t run into evil that is down here on this earth. Every thing that looks good and sounds good isn’t, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t have love in our hearts and it doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t forgive others of the evil things they have done. Yes, we should have love in our hearts and be willing to forgive. Since we are not God, we can’t say what evil a person will or will not continue, but we can pray that hopefully they have changed. Of course, since we don’t know, we should watch and pray and ask God for guidance and wisdom in all situations. Should we continue to forgive and invite the rapist, abuser, or thief in? I think not. We are not God, but what happens if you have seen the true character of a person over and over again? Should you continue to be ignorant of what can happen? Only God can judge, but if you love yourself enough to stay out of harm’s way, then are you wrong? I think not. God loves you and He wants the best for you. We are not all knowing, only God is. Forgiving others is necessary, but being a victim again and again is not.

~Love yourself and remember God loves you~

When the Sweetness Has Turned Bitter

When something is good and sweet, you want more of it. That is how it is in a relationship before it turns to abuse. The words are sweet and the affection is sweet, but after the sweetness comes the unimaginable. After enduring unkindness for a while, the relationship becomes bitter. You no longer feel loved, but you feel guilty because of all the guilt that was placed on you. Abusers have a way of making the other person feel guilty. They are also great manipulators. Abusers look sweet on the outside and will act very sweet to others, but the victim knows that what used to be sweet to her has turned bitter.

For all of those who are struggling with despair, guilt, shame, low self-esteem, etc., because of abuse, keep your head up. The sweetness has gone out of that person, but not you. You have been through a lot, but you are fearfully and wonderfully made. You are priceless!! Don’t turn bitter, because of what you been through. Your life is not over. God can restore you and give you your peace and joy back. Hold on and don’t give up.

God Loves You!!

God is My Insurance

What has insurance done for you lately? After the wreck, they were able to get a brand new car. After the flood, they were able to get some new stuff. Because they have health insurance, they can afford to get their medicine.

Have you ever lost some stuff and just wondered what you were going to do? Well, God is in the restoring business. He can give you what you lost and more. Just look at the story of Job and Ruth. Isn’t it something to be insured by God? You might have to wait a while, but He is always on time. He can not only restore material things, but He can give you your joy back and your peace back. He is the one and only, so you don’t have to shop around. He is the Alpha and the Omega (the beginning and the end). You might think it is time for Him to bless you with some stuff because you can’t take the loss any longer, but God will show up when you’re able to handle what He is about to give you. Sometimes you just got to go through a thing until you have grown. God not only wants to bless you, but He wants to make you ready for what He is about to give you. Better is coming, so hold on!!

God Bless!!

Whom shall I fear?

They surround me.

They come after me.

Their words are strong in my ear.

The negativity is hard to ignore.

Although they come up against me, I shall press on.

I shall put their words and mockery under my feet and press on.

I shall believe what His Word says.

I am fearfully and wonderfully made.

I can do all through Christ who strengthens me.

I am more than a conqueror.

The naysayers and the haters may come, but I shall press on.

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? (Psalm 27:1)

Distractions!! Won’t they get you? They’ll show up when you’re in a meeting, when you’re having a conversation, or even when you are at church. Yes, even at church! There are all kinds of distractions like driving while using a phone or other people talking while you are trying to hear a message. These distractions can be pretty bad, but what about those distractions in your head. You know, like when you are listening to someone speak and you start thinking about something totally different or like when you start daydreaming when you know you are supposed to be paying attention to something important. Now, if you do this or have ever done this, don’t be ashamed. You are not alone.

Just like a lot of things, distractions are just stuff that might need to be worked on. You know, with God all things are possible. Sometimes it could be that we need to pay attention to something in our lives. We need to live our best life and if we are not feeling successfull or out of place, then we just might have a wondering mind. I thought about this a little more and came to the conclusion that we might also need to make a change or be challenged to another level.

Pay attention to you and pray for wisdom in order to give yourself what you need. Pray to God to move you to a place in your life where you are more fufulfilled and satisfied.

Prosper and grow. Learn what makes you thrive and go after your dreams. God Bless!!

Just Like the Potato

A potato isn’t any good until it has been cooked unless someone is using it to throw it at someone else (ouch) 😊

Moral of the sentence: sometimes we have to go through something before we can get any better. Yes, we are fearfully and wonderfully made (thank God), but growth is essential.

Going through things hurt, but even that is something to be thankful for. Your “going through” could open your eyes to what you need to be set free from or it can allow you to see how you need to change. Sometimes we stay the same because we have been doing it that same way for a long time (tradition), but just like that potato sometimes we have to be tried in the fire to become better. Complacency can become dangerous. It doesn’t allow you to grow and like the potato, you won’t be any good until something changes.

~Indeed, I have refined you, but not as silver; I have tested and chosen you in the furnace of affliction (Isaiah 48:10).~

Sometimes it takes going through to get to the next level. If you are going through a trial, just hold on!! You can make it and that mess will become your mmessage. God Bless!!😇😇

The Guilt Factor

Oh my goodness, how the guilt weighs heavy on some. It has taken some to an unbelievable level of self-doubt and unforgiveness. That thing that was done while some were angry, in despair, or when they felt like they had no other choice is about to destroy some. Even the guilt from someone telling people that this or that is all there fault and that things would be different if it wasn’t for them. Guilt can make you become stagnated and depressed. It will have you wondering “what if”. These thoughts about what could have been only makes things worse for the individual. Whatever happened is in the past and we can’t change the past. We can move forward and we must move forward. It might seem like your life is over, but God is a God of second chances. Forgive yourself and stop living in the past are two essential things that must be done. If you believed the lies of others and thought a situation was all your fault, then stop right there and start believing in yourself. Stop believing the lies of others and forgive them. Your life can change for the better, but you have to believe that there is hope. When you don’t know what to do, just do the best you can and trust God to turn things around. It won’t be easy, but there is nothing impossible with God. He can help you get out of that depression pit and help you move forward from reliving your past. God is good and He can set you on the right path. God Bless!
