There is strength in the falling. Provebs 24:16, says that a righteous man falls seven times, but gets back up. This verse says that he didn’t stay down whenever he fell, he got back up and that he didn’t give up. Sometimes we go through stuff or makes some mistakes, but we must get back up.
Have you ever heard that an abused woman might attempt to leave seven times before she leaves for good? Yes, there could be danger staying at anytime, but there is strength in the trying. You see, it is like trying to get a car to crank. It might not crank at first, but when you keep on working on it, and then give it some gas, it just might go. Everytime the woman leaves, she gets a little more gas or hope, then she is gone. Of course, she most likely wanted it to work out, but for her to live and for the chains to be broken from the abuse and the addiction, she had to rise up or wise up and go. Everytime she went back she fell, and had to rise up. She kept going through until that 7th time when she said no more.
Now, I believe that there is something special about the 7th time. First of all, that’s a lot of times to keep falling, but in spite of the falling, you can get back up. In spite of the falling, you are getting wiser and stronger.
Don’t be discouraged if you have fallen over and over again. You shall get back up! Don’t lose hope! God has not forgotten about you!
